Current guidance for pandemic influenza infection control include hand hygiene and the use of Personal Protection Equipment.  This kit, ideal for travel, is designed to help protect users during disease outbreaks. The kit is supplied in a clear polybag.

Pandemic Kit Contents

• 1 x hand sterilizer gel
• 1 x digital thermometer
• 1 x pair of nitrile gloves (pair)
• 2 x FFP3 disposable fold flat protective respirator mask
• 10 x individually sealed anti-bacterial wipes
• 2 x biohazard bag to dispose of material
• 2 x handy pack of tissues
• 1 x clear poly bag

This kit should be used by May 2012

Correctly used, PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) reduces the possibility of infection. Hand hygiene measures should be used in addition to the use of PPE. Protective equipment should be worn and removed in the correct order. Please note that during and after use the external surfaces of protective equipment are considered potentially contaminated. Never touch your eyes, nose, mouth or face, with potentially contaminated, unclean or gloved hands: you risk infecting yourself.
