Burn dressings are sterile dressings, saturated with a water-based gel, used for the emergency first aid treatment of all types of burns. We recommend that you keep a dedicated burns kit at home or in your workplace in addition to a general purpose first aid kit.

Cold running water is still the best form of burn first aid, followed by the application of gel burn dressing. In the absence of running water, immediately apply a gel burn dressing.
