The latest (2017) National Counter Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO) guidance recommends that a CRISIS RESPONSE KIT is kept on hand. This kit should contain the right tools to safely manage a major incident for ‘crowded places’. There are general recommendations for what should be included in a Crisis Response Kit, a list can be found here: Crisis Response Kit This list is not exhaustive, and there may be other documents or equipment that should be included for your specific business or organisation. EVAQ8 have created a kit based on these general criteria but specifically modified for use by the health and hospital sector.
Additional advice: Make sure the pack is stored safely and securely off-site (in another location) or can at least be readily removed from site to an alternative location. Ensure items in the pack are checked regularly, kept up to date, and working. Remember that cash/credit cards may be needed for emergency expenditure.
