In the summer of 2017, in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, millions of people in Florida were without gas or electricity for several days. These are people, like us, who took electricity and mains gas supplies in their home for granted. We may not have regular hurricanes in the UK, but the chance of interrupted power is very real none the less. How would you cope stuck at home without power? How would you feed your family?

No electricity? No gas? No problem! With this portable emergency food and cook kit, you can provide hot food for 4 people for up to 3 days! The waterproof outer box is easy to store and easy to carry. The kit contains 36 freeze dried meals; some in 25-year-shelf-life tins and some in 6-year shelf-life pouches. To prepare the food, we've added a compact stove and two gas cartridges, waterproof matches, a compact kettle and two mess tins. A 2 litre capacity water carrier and water purification tablets are included so that you can store and treat the the water needed for your food. Plastic plates, cutlery and mugs complete the kit.
