Flameless Ration Heater

Flameless ration heater, or FRH, is a water-activated exothermic chemical heater used to heat the food. US military specifications for the heater require that it be capable of raising the temperature of an eight-ounce main meal by 100° F in twelve minutes, and that it display no visible flame.

Use this disposable ration heater to heat any of the expedition wet main meals, desserts or breakfasts. To use, simply insert the unopened meal bag in the  heater pouch and add water. Wait twelve minutes and your meal is ready to eat. We've used this ration heater to heat 2 x 125ml emergency drinking water pouches successfully by over 40 degrees C, so you can make a warm drink in the middle of nowhere without a fire or stove!
